[post] My Short And Simple Apple Event Recap #iPhone4S
Apple has announced the iPhone 4S (available to buy on October 14).
It is the same as the iPhone 4, but with a faster A5 CPU, a new aerial, a 64GB option, and an upgraded camera.
It can take a photo in 1.1 seconds and then take another 0.5 seconds after that.
The new camera sensor takes in 73% more light, is 8 megapixel, and does video 1080p recording.
The new iPhone 4S can do both CDMA and GSM in the one model.
Apple announced some software news, also.
iOS5 and iCloud will be out on Wednesday October 12.
Cards is an app that lets you create a greeting card that is then snail-mailed out to the recipient.
Find My Friends is an app that lets you track other people on a map while they are sharing their location, like during an event you are all at.
Siri is a voice recognition app that will allow you to control things via voice and do some amazing interactions with your iPhone. Available on the new iPhone 4S only.
[Pic] Visualising the HDD usage on my Mac with Space Gremlin. Really really nice.
I had not previously realised that iPhoto was taking up 100 GB of my internal HDD. I've moved it now, and my Mac is happy again.
